“OGIE”

Stacy gained her angel wings on December 5, 2022. From the time Stacy was diagnosed with brain cancer, she maintained a positive, fighting attitude while worrying more about her kids and family than herself. She valiantly fought the cancer until the very end, never once complaining about everything she had gone through.

Maylin gained her angel wings to fly to the stars on March 22nd, 2024, after a 19-month battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), the most aggressive childhood cancer. Remarkably, Maylin never let her terminal brain tumor diagnosis stop her from smiling. Her instant resilience earned her the name #MightyMay because the day she was diagnosed was the day her superpowers were revealed. This superhero needed a slogan, so Maylin and her Auntie Kendall came up with the phrase “I am Brave, I am Strong, and I am Super-Super Cute”, which she repeated every single day of her battle. Astonishingly, in the 19 months of battle, with 3 rounds of radiation, 3 brain surgeries, 3 port surgeries, 27 MRIs, multiple CT scans, countless pokes, trial medications, infusions, and countless hours spent in the hospital, she never complained…not once… and without fail, she woke up every single morning with a smile and positive attitude. A testament to the superhero she will always be.

Javon was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 2019. She had a positive lymph node biopsy in the early part of October and started chemotherapy two weeks later which continued until March of this year. She then underwent surgery to remove the mass which had had no change after chemo. Radiation was started 5/19/20 and she had her last radiation treatment today and was able to ring the bell! She will continue with a drug regimen to ensure the cancer does not return! The Stroh family means a lot to us and we are grateful to be able to give back the many kindnesses our family has been shown.

Kristi was diagnosed with melanoma cancer in 2014 and endured a roller coaster of treatments and medications. She gained her angel wings on December 4, 2019. Kristi was a strong and amazing mother, daughter, and friend.

Kristi Gutierrez was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and it has unfortunately metastasized to her Lymph Nodes. Funds from the Ogie have assisted the Gutierrez Family with travel expenses and medical expenses that will occur.
